DIY'd dress from Target//Forever 21 scarf worn as head-wrap//Urban Outfitters leather bag//AA bike shorts//gifted sandals//Isaac Mizrahi shades//vintage earrings

I've had this dress since before I started my blog and after wearing it probably every single way possible, I recently decided, if I was going to keep it, it would need a little re-vamp. I also had some left over spray paint from grafitti-ing all over the city other random projects so I figured, why not put them to good use on this dress and paint the, print of choice in fashion right now (and appropriate for the event at hand), a good old American flag. 

Other than wearing a metallic flag and a head-wrap that doesn't say 'American' at all, I filled my day by making fruit jello, chilling with drinks, family, and friends in air-conditioned rooms and boiling hot backyards, DIYing a pair of star shades, buying fireworks, practicing my fire show, putting on a little fire show, watching my brothers' spectacular fireworks display, and eating banana splits. Perfect if you ask me!
