[DIY] gold legs and chanel tee

Took a couple snaps on my computer's photobooth of today's outfit and my latest DIY. I have been designing my next collection recently and am thus inspired to make stuff again. This afternoon I felt like reinventing one of the two pairs of jeans I own - I don't know why I keep them, I never wear them. Maybe now I will though, after making this pair a little more luxe. I had a mostly full can of gold spraypaint lying around from this project I did for a class, and decided to finish it off on this pair. I cut about 6 inches off the hem, frayed the ends a bit, and started painting from hem to top in a slightly ombre effect.

I did the Chanel tee years ago but still love it and wear it all the time. I think I will be re-drawing some of it though as it's faded through washing.

[minimalist]

Some pictures I snagged from the blogs I cannot get enough of lately. So inspired by this sporty minimalism and unique use of materials like plastic and patent leather, mixed metals, and super tailored pieces. This is pretty much my dream wardrobe this winter. I am stocking up on button downs, sporty kicks, and leather accents.

So, school started. This means, of course, that life has suddenly become overwhelming and this blog has accidentally taken the back seat in my priorities. Sorry about that.
Besides taking a full load of 6 classes and actually keeping my job this semester, I also just got my motorcycle license and driving permit, celebrated my anniversary with J. in San Francisco, styled a fashion photo shoot for the school magazine, and of course a pile of creative homework projects including putting together some displays for my Visual Merchandising class (so excited!) I have tons to post though and will try to make more time for this blog in the coming weeks.
