vintage blanket, AA leggings and leotard, Bumper heels, Twisted clutch, UO headband, Anthropologie cuff
Love at first sight between these shoes and the blanket; it was just meant to be! We had this blanket hanging out in the house and I was really inspired by the colors so I started playing around with it to see what I could come up with. Because it's actually a blanket, and meant for warmth rather than fashion, the material is rather thick; so what I might do is see if I can find some similarly printed fabric and make a dress, like the one I have on, with it. Ever since my first trip to New Mexico a few years ago I've found myself really attracted to Native American and Mexican influence in clothing and especially accessories, so, naturally I fell in love with the recent Rodarte collection. I know it got a lot of negative comments from press and such but I really liked their use of textures and, of course, the south-of-the border inspiration. I think that must have been my subconscious idea behind wearing this blanket. Now if only I could pair it with some embellished tights and glow-in-the-dark heels!!

Great mix! You look like a kind of space warrior. And I love folk pieces. Amazing as always!

I love how creative you were with the blanket - few people could pull that off!
