the Little Mermaid

This necklace was a collaborative project between me and my little sister -who's a genius at jewelry making. Sometime I'll have to do a giveaway of one of her creations! (Be sure to enter the Perricone free giveaway before friday!!)
Usually what happens with projects such as these is I have the idea and materials and she puts them together. This happened similarly with my horseshoe necklace, my turquoise ring, and the geometric lucite earrings. For the most part I only really wear jewelry if it's oversized. I don't see the point in wearing something that's so small you can't see it unless you are standing right in front of me! This time the inspiration came from Camilla Belle in the movie 10,000 B.C. Random, I know, but I'm always inspired by the rough, prehistoric accessories she wears throughout the movie. The materials came from the seeds of my carved halloween pumpkin which I thought looked so unique! So I dried them out and my sister put them together along with some medallions, shells, and beads. I love the dripping effect it has, similar to seaweed!

Hey there, the Perricone's person for me was called Ashley. After my post, someone even contacted me saying they will send the present now, and that she didnt find my convertations with Ashley blah blah. I don't know, I hope yours goes well, but there are lots of people who are dissapointed.
