Christmas plaid

Plans have been made and my family has decided to have a themed Christmas this year. The theme will be "Olde English" and it is suggested that we all wear plaid for Christmas Eve dinner. I am trying to decide what look I want to go for. I could do something minimal with accents of plaid, like this:

Or I could wear more of an all around look with one big item of plaid clothing like in this outfit:

Or last of all I could wear a statement piece with everything else in the outfit being more subdued, like this:

I can't decide. I guess I will have to see what stands out to me when I am shopping and go from there.
